Recoverall

Here is Cindy's tip of the week.

If you are working on a project and the drawings are slow to load a great tool to help is called RECOVERALL. What does it do?

Recoverall opens and recovers the selected file and all associated Xrefs and cleans up the integrity of the drawing . A great time to use this tool is when you start working on a pre-AutoCAD 2009 project.

Here is how it works:
  1. Make sure that you are not in any of the files that you want to Recover.
  2. Type RECOVERALL at the command line (or from the File pulldown -> Drawing Utilities > Recover drawings and xrefs).
  3. Select the Wolski (non-xref) drawing that you want to Recover.
  4. Repeat on other Wolski drawings.
Give it a try!
